Object: Retrieve Additional Yahoo Finance Stock Data in Custom Columns

Hi!
I am new to Collabinvest, i have just bought one license of Personal Stock Monitor.
I am pretty sure that someone of you will be able to help me ...

It's almost a couple of years i have no time to practice my Javascript, Php, Html and Visual Basic,
so i have a basic knowledge of it, but knowing about Yahoo common query to retrieve stock data quotes :

http://finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s= a BUNCH of STOCK SYMBOLS separated by "+" &f=a bunch of special tags

for example

http://finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=GE&f=nkqwxy...

gives this:

"GENERAL ELEC CO",32.98,"Jun 26","21.30 - 32.98","NYSE",2.66,"Jul 25",28.55,"Jul 3","-0.21%"

http://quote.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s= ...

Now:

I would to create a Script to run as an Extension, in the same way of 'Trailing Stop', so to use it in Custom columns,
in order to retrieve a yahoo finance data reguarding a stock and one or more finance data values, identified by common
yahoo tag letters(for example 'e8' means 'EPS Estimate Next Year' etc... ), in way of a simple function expression ('yahoo tag')

So:

----------------------------------------------------
Could anyone of you, develop this script in chance of a paypal donation?
---------------------------------------------------

.. to someone knows this kind of software and languages, it takes a short time.

A part that, i am also looking for someone, to help with a paypal donation, able to complete a VB Script working with a word form developed and structured by me, used for a
multiple text words of MS Word selection, to Find And/Or Replace with, multiple other words, in sequence or random order ... strong developing language skills are mandatory.

Howdy beiusei, and welcome to the PSM/PSS user family.

I wrote a script extension for PSM that uses my currently selected ticker(s) and then obtains data from Yahoo Finance for several of my custom columns. Depending on your requirements, I could probably modify this script for your use.

I'll send you a private message with my e-mail so you can go into more detail about what you need.

By the way, there is also a Developers Forum for PSM here: http://www.personalstockmonitor.com/developing-custom-stock-market-software/developers-forum.html

Just tried sending you a private message but got a VistaForms error. Maybe you don't have an e-mail address defined in your account here in the forums?

You can send ME a private message by clicking my username (dgoyette) to the left and then clicking the Send Message link. Please include your e-mail in the message, as e-mail is easier to use than forum mail.

Thank you,

-Don

You are welcome.

No, I don't do any work in MS Word. I use Open Office.org ( http://www.openoffice.org/ ) since it's free and open source.

Will go check messages now ...
