Ok, I put up a test build at http://www.personalstockmonitor.com/_downloads/psm/beta/psm914g_install.exe

Please give it a try and let me know if there is any improvement.

Looks like you fixed the problem! Thank you.

Also, I would like to suggest that you have the option for a one time log in for TDAmeritrade so that PSM will automatically log into the account each time PSM is launched.

Great, thanks!

Saving the password is on the to-do list. We just need to add stronger encryption before we do that.

There is something wrong again with TDAmeritrade Polling. See attached from 12:45PM Eastern Time Today

Why would you compare two different data sources? It's almost guaranteed they are going to be different. You have to compare it against the TD AMERITRADE web site, with a quote polled at the exact same time.

Hi Anatoly,

I understand the differences in data from different sources. I am just showing you that the polling isn not even close to updating properly.

PSM is telling me that the Dow is UP 1.07% (over 100 points) when it is actually DOWN 0.48% (48 points). That has nothing to do with data sources. There is something wrong with PSM's recording .

Problem is you're not showing the Change column, just the %Change column, but again, compare it against TD AMERITRADE, not some other source, (although technically even within TD AMERITRADE it uses two different data sources, but that's a longer story) because that will tell you if PSM is wrong, or TD AMERITRADE is wrong.

Maybe this will help. The markets are closed for the day. Here is TDAmeritrade Polling on PSM and on the front page of the TDAmeritrade site. Compare the Dow Jones Composit, Industrials and the S&P 500 on each. None are the same.

Are you sure those tickers in PSM have been updated after market close? I'm showing the exact same numbers that the main web site has.

What was the Last Updated time on the tickers? I tested those tickers here and they matched the web site exactly.

That was at the market close. This is using TDAmeritrade POLLING. Streaming seems to be OK.

Yes, I was testing polling as well. It matches here, but you need to make sure it has actually been updated by checking the Last Update field.

Hello Anatoly,

The problem is ongoing. I go to the front page of TDAmeritrade and check the data. Then hit the relaod button of PSM so it is right up to date and the data never matches. This is from 3:39 this afternoon Eastern Time. PSM is in polling mode. Streaming works fine. Polling does not. I have to use Polling because my bandwidth is limited.

I believe the quotes on the front page of TD AMERITRADE (as well as any quotes you get without logging in) are delayed. Please compare against quotes when logged into your TD AMERITRADE account.
